Hello!

 

When I founded The Coaching Center, the team and I chose to take on one of Walter Hailey’s main commitments – to be an organization that Helped People solve their Total Problems. 

 

In the spirit of this commitment, Paula Harriss, coach and faculty, initiated a new division in our company called The Power for Life.  This division is dedicated to bringing the principles and magic of all we teach to the public at large.

 

Last week we held the first public seminar sponsored by The Power for Life – our Couples Retreat.  It was held at the Dancing Bear Lodge in Townsend, TN at the base of the Smokey Mountains.  Paula and Mike Black led the seminar and truly made a difference in the lives of the couples attending.  In addition to learning a lot of skills to help their relationship, like DiSC, how to fight, what your spouse wants, what is our vision, the couples got to spend some quality time alone in a beautiful setting. 

One of the participants had this to say:

"Thank you & Power for Life for having the vision for the couples retreat. It was really awesome and opened communication in so many areas we just hadn’t gone in our 21 years!!! As you said, Life happens when you get back home, but we have really had some awesome talks.

The WORLD Famous Disney

My family and I just took a wonderful trip to Disney World, which sparked the idea for this article.  In just getting back, I thought I would point out some obvious observations!

The System: We ended up going on a couple of rides more than once (that will happen when you go for 6 days) and the most amazingly unexpected thing happened.  We had the same great experience every time!  Disney WORLD is just that:  Its own amazing WORLD.  They have created the most amazing culture, system and experience, making them World Famous.  Even more amazing is that all of ideas came from one man's amazing vision. (Talk about a testimonial for The Secret.  If you haven’t seen it already, I suggest watching it and checking out Walt's Vision)

Referrals without the UGH!

The best time to ask for referrals is after a patient extends a compliment: “I love my new smile!”

Now it’s your turn, “We love having you as a patient here. You are so much fun to please and your smile is beautiful. Remember how you felt when we started?”

“Would you feel comfortable letting your friends know about us?” (Listen – let them talk) “Is there someone at your office, or other location, who you think might appreciate what we provide?” (Listen) “How could we help you tell them about us?” (Listen) “Would you like a card or brochure?” (Listen) “Would you like us to call them and invite them for a complimentary tour?”

Identify the people you want to ask for referrals in the AM Huddle. Paperclip a couple of business cards to their file and have the person who is going to ask for the referral hand them out to the patient. Each morning briefly share who you invited the day before.

After each invitation, make sure you document in the chart who asked and what the response was. You may even consider coming up with a patient referral system
