Suzanne Black
CEO & President of The Coaching Center,
sponsor of the “original and legendary” Dental Boot Kamp.
Suzanne Black leads the most qualified case
acceptance team in dentistry. With a Masters Degree in
communication, she began her career helping build one of the
largest personal development training companies in the world.
Consulting and training over 300 different businesses, in a wide
variety of industries with over 20 years of dental office
consulting and training experience, Suzanne was a protégé of the
late Walter Hailey and acquired the rights to all his programs
after his death.
The Dental Boot Kamp programs have been delivered
across the United States and Canada for the last twenty years,
graduating over 30,000 dental professionals. In addition to
managing and leading a team of fourteen and over 40 Dentist
mentors and faculty, Suzanne has successfully dealt with every
challenge imaginable in the dental office. Her on stage style,
humorous anecdotes and the willingness to laugh at herself, make
her a winning and engaging seminar leader.
Suzanne is on of the main faculty for the Dental
Boot Kamp Continuum, in addition to leading one day seminars
around the country on topics from Leadership, to Case
Presentation to Stopping Cancellations.
Suzanne, her husband Mike and their two daughters
live on their family “ranchette” near Austin, Texas.
Manager of Operations and
Events, As one of the longest tenured members of the Dental Boot
Kamp Team, Susan has been intimately involved with every
major facet of the company’s management, operations, sales,
marketing, and event-coordinating functions since January
1997.
Susan attended Sales Boot
Kamp at the Ranch in Kerrville in February 1996 as a hotel
sales manager. Applying those principles to her personal
and professional life, she quickly rose to Sales Manager of
the Year in July 1996 for GENCOM American Hospitality. By
the end of that year, Susan had accepted a Sales-Coaching
position with Dental Boot Kamp team in a full time
capacity. After working with the Sales team, Susan developed
the event-planning department as well as worked with
marketing and facilitators. Over the years, Susan has been
a part of other areas as needed in addition to working with
Eagle “U” for 1 ˝ years and other events. Her background in
Business, Psychology, Event-Planning, Hospitality Industry
and Sales plays a part in everything she does. Ten years
later, Susan is a vital part of The Coaching Center’s
management team. Her leadership, vision and “Happy to do it”
attitude deeply personify all that Dental Boot Kamp has come
to be known for in its 20 year history.
Residing in the Dallas
area, Susan enjoys traveling, movies, and spending time with
her family.
Coach. The “Head Coach” of Dental Boot Kamp Coaching Services, she started her dental career at age 16,Sue Marshall has dealt with nearly every challenge in dental practice. As a Certified Dental Assistant, with twenty years of consulting with dental practices all over America, experience working with multi-doctor practices and successfully integrating associates; Sue knows how to pull the team together and focus everyone on the practice purpose and goals. Sue and her husband of 30 years live in Knoxville, Tennessee and are the parents of two children and are proud grandparents as well.
Coach & Faculty. Holding a degree in Business
Administration, Eric brings a strong business and systems approach to his clients. Having managed the growth of a dental practice in Maine for ten
years, utilizing Dental Boot Kamp training, Eric led the team to double in production during that time. Eric brings these skills and his engaging and humorous delivery to all of his seminar leading. Eric has been a key contributor to the Coaching Services programs through the development of his Practice Monitoring Systems. He is Coaching Dental Boot Kamp offices all over the Country who benefit from his daily hands-on
experience, his expertise in financial arrangements, third party financing and eliminating dependence on insurance. Eric and his wife Abby are the proud parents of three children and live in northern California.
Coach. Cindy began her journey in dentistry more than 30 years ago. Her professional
experience includes dental assisting and office managing where her efforts have resulted in dental practice profitability and exceptional patient care. In
addition, Cindy has certified and instructed for x-ray licensure and taught preparatory classes for the California State Board of Dental Examiners Registered Dental Assistant exam. She is a certified trainer for Dentrix and Easy Dental computer software programs. Cindy and her husband Kevin have been married 33 years and live in Colorado; they have two sons and four grandchildren
Faculty, Advisory Board. Ernie Anderson has been a patron of Dental Boot Kamp since 1990. With over 33 years of
restorative, cosmetic and general dentistry experience he continues to give back to the profession as a teacher and dental missionary. His array of credentials include. Associate Teacher at the Pankey
Institute, Associate Professor and Guest Lecturer at the University of Texas Health Science
Center, Fellow
and a Master at the Academy of General Dentistry and Fellow
at both the American College of Dentistry and the
International College of Dentistry. Dr. Anderson is the Main
Faculty for our Leadership Seminar for dentists and also is
an engaging stage presence in all of our programs taking the
lead in Case Presentation Effectiveness and Leading the Case
Acceptance Team. Ernie has been married for over 30 years to
his wife Karen. They have 3 grown children and 4
grandchildren.

Dr.
Beckett has been a patron of Dental Book Kamp since 1997 and
continues as a mentor and advisor. He is a graduate of the
University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Dentistry.
Since then he has graduated from some of the most prominent
training facilities available. These opportunities
include courses by John Kois, and PAC Live where he
fine-tuned his skills in cosmetics and occlusion and
DOCS (Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation) where he
received extensive training on a unique technique of
Sedation Dentistry, as well as many others. He continues
working in his private practice of 41 years. He has been a
deacon in his church as well as a Sunday School teacher for
adults and children. Dr. Beckett is married and has two
grown children and twin grandsons. He enjoys working in his
yard, sports, writing novels, reading and traveling.
Advisory
Board. Dr. Clemans graduated with high honors from
Okemos High School in East Lansing, Michigan in 1978. She
received a B. A. degree from Miami University in Ohio in
1982 and graduated in the top 15% of her class from The Ohio
State University, College of Dentistry in 1986.
Dr. Clemans completed her
General Practice Residency in Advanced General Dentistry at
Emory University in conjunction with the Atlanta Veteran’s
Administration Medical Center and Grady Memorial Hospital in
1987. Since receiving her dental degree Dr. Clemans has been
in private practice in the Atlanta area. She resides in
Marietta with her husband and two children. In her free time
she enjoys arts and crafts, movies, and time together with
her family.
Her connection with the
community is very important to her. She is a member of
Temple Kol Emeth and has been involved as a volunteer with
the infertility group, Resolve of Georgia and with the Girl
Scouts.
Faculty, Advisory Board. Dental Boot Kamp guest speaker, Larry Hoffman and his entire team have been implementing
and mastering Dental Boot Kamp skills since 1994.
Since then, the team has seen the fruit of their work with a
thriving, growing practice, grossing over $1,600,000 last
year. In addition, Larry is passionate about health
and wellness and lectures locally and internationally on these issues and their relationship and application to dentistry. He and his wife Carol have enjoyed 31 years of marriage and have two children.
Michael Kampel, DDS
Faculty,
Advisory Board. A dentist from Huntington
Station, New York, Dr. Kampel has been in practice for over
30 years. He has taught in the State University of New York
system at Stony Brook Dental School and the School of Dental
Hygiene at Farmingdale University. Currently, Dr. Kampel is
a key faculty member for Dental Boot Kamp focusing on
teaching practice management to dentists and their dental
teams from all over the United States and Canada. Among his
achievements and continuing education, He is a past
president of Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity,
the New York State Dental Association, American Dental
Association, Suffolk County Dental Society, International
Association of Orthodontics, and the Internet Dental
Alliance. Dr. Kampel and his wife Kathleen reside in
Huntington and have four children and four grandchildren.

Dr. Raymond is a key Faculty Member for the Dental Boot Kamp
Continuum and inspires Dentists to continue to grow. He
holds a Fellowship in the America Academy of General
Dentistry and is a member of the American Academy of
Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, Chicago
Dental Society, Indiana Dental Association and the
Indianapolis District Dental Society, where he has served as
chairperson for various committees and as delegate to the
Indiana Dental Association. In addition, he is a graduate of
the University of the Pacific PAC-LIVE Program. Dr. Raymond
is currently awaiting assignment as a clinical instructor
for the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies.
His cosmetic and family practice is in Franklin, Indiana,
where he resides with his wife, Karen, and their three sons.

Laura has enjoyed building relationships with her Dental Boot Kamp Clients since 2002 and now has the opportunity to lead the skilled Client Advisor Team. Prior to her association with Dental Boot Kamp, Laura spent 16 years developing both her clinical and administrative skills with an Oral Surgeon, as well as 6 years with a Pediatrician. When the opportunity arises Laura and her husband Jay enjoy spur-of-the-moment trips to exotic locations, and not to mention the occasional day at the shopping mall. Residing in Dallas Texas, Laura and Jay are proud parents of four sons and one beautiful daughter. Lastly, when football season arises you will find, Laura is a Dallas Cowboy fan!!

Advisor Trisha loves the communication skills
that our seminars are all about. She
joined Planned Marketing Associates
January, 2000 after
moving to Texas from Alabama. Her greatest
joy is serving others and helping them to find
the most workable solutions for the challenges

allowed her to do exactly that and she became

Trisha and her husband David raise Alpacas and love country
living. They have 3 grown children, all married
and currently also have 3 grandchildren. They
live in Center Point, Texas about 50 miles NW of
San Antonio.

beginning his dental career in the Army Dental Corp, Dr.
Kevin Devine returned to his hometown of Columbia, IL to buy
a failing practice. With his military discipline and great
chair side manner, he turned this one doctor, one assistant
practice around. After a five-times increase in production,
today the practice produces consistent results for patients
and provides financial security for its team of six. With
over twenty years in dentistry, Kevin openly shares with
Masters Experience participants that the greatest obstacle
he has had to overcome is only one thing – himself! Kevin
inspires doctors and team members alike with his open and
personable style. He does the same at home as he
participates in his local dental society and several
community organizations. Kevin and his wife have one son.
Dave Pier, DDS
Faculty.
Rockland Maine is considered the lobster capital of the
world. It is also the home of Dr. David Pier, who
successfully implemented Dental Boot Kamp skills in his
4-doctor, 28-team member practice in this rural community of
6,000 people. As a result, the practice tripled in
production while reducing office hours by 25%. In 2004 he
opened his solo practice. With twenty years in dentistry,
Dave has completed the Dawson Continuum, the DOCS Continuum
as well as many other clinical courses. His passion for
personal development and public speaking led him to be a key
presenter in the Masters Experience. Dave has spent the last
14 winters as a ski coach on the weekends. Dave and his wife
have been married for 25 years and have three children. They
are members of the Congregational Church of Rockland.
Faculty. Karen Raymond, H.I.M.A.,
graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science
in Health Information Management in 1977. She was
Director of Dental Records and New Patient Admissions at the Indiana University School of
Dentistry until 1981. Karen has continued her
education in both the dental and medical fields in
management, record keeping, and communication. In 2003, after 25 years of practice, Karen and her husband, Gregg, were faced with challenges and difficulties that, for the first time, seemed overwhelming. They decided it was time for Dental Boot Kamp and the events that happened following that were amazing…. it is a story that she loves to tell. After implementing the systems and ideas from Dental Boot Kamp, their office won a cruise to the Caribbean and has continued to grow in ways they never imagined. She and her husband, Dr. Gregg Raymond have three sons ages 24, 22, and 17 and continue to reside in the town of Franklin, Indiana.
Mentor Coordinator and Coach.
After attending Level I Dental Boot Kamp in 1997,
and seeing the incredible results in her home
practice, Dianne Barnes was so impressed she decided
she wanted to be part of The Coaching Center’s team.
Having worked in dentistry since
1988, Dianne knows what it takes to make a practice
successful. Now, as a Mentor Coordinator and Coach,
she works with practices all over the country to
help them reach their highest potential using the
Dental Boot Kamp principles. Currently, Dianne is
working on setting up The Coaching Center Mastermind
Program where Doctors will have the opportunity to
mastermind situations with others dealing with the
same issues. Topics will include team issues, dental
materials and procedures, protocols for the office,
financial arrangements, etc.
Dianne continues to work part time as
a Dental Office Manager in Kansas City, where she
resides with her husband and two teenage daughters.
Dianne is actively involved with her church and is
the Director of the Children’s Church Department.
She also enjoys spending time at her house on Truman
Lake in Warsaw, Missouri.
